Oregonians deserve to pursue their happiness through progress, justice, and dignity for all. With your vote, I will create the tools you need to make that happen.

My name is Cye Sterling (D); a democratic candidate, running to represent Oregon’s District 43. My campaign is entirely grassroots, and I have chosen not to continuously solicit or accept campaign contributions from the public. My campaign is currently running it’s one and only fundraiser. When I say that money must be removed from politics, I demonstrate that conviction through my actions. The growing disconnect between what voters support and what politicians deliver is driven largely by the influence of money in our political system. I am committed to serving the people with integrity guided solely by the principles and promises I’ve outlined here.

I am a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, because I feel strongly that our governments have a resposibility to ensure its vulnerable have housing, food, and medical care. Capitalism and Socialism can co-exist and compliment one another; a duel governance. This is the foundation for a life full of pursuing dreams. Capitalism demands a healthy economy, and a healthy economy demands long term stability.

I am running for office because I believe Oregonians have the right to pursue their own happiness. With your vote, I will have the power to ensure nobody stands in your way. It is time for courage in our country. We can do government in ways that ensure all can succeed. We can begin new with Oregon leading by example.
